If a layer filled with black and placed in screen blend mode, does not create the desired effect try one of the other blend modes and its neutral color. You can also paint away any unwanted sunspots created by this filter. An alternate method is to use a soft brush filled with the neutral color…black in this case…then paint away any hard edges that might occur as a result of moving the flare. Trim off unwanted canvas after you have all of the flare layers created. One method is to increase the canvas size in all directions before filling a neutral layer. There are several strategies for getting a good result using the neutral layer method. You can move the flare around by using the move tool. Since black drops out in screen blend mode, the black will drop out leaving just the flare. This is the layer to which you will apply the lens flare filter.
You will also need a neutral layer for each sparkle.įor the neutral layer, I would recommend trying a layer filled with black that is placed in Screen blend mode. Since this going to be animated, you'll need to make a layer for each frame of the animation so you'll need a copy of the logo for each sparkle position on the logo that will appear in the animation. I'm going to click just to the left of the girl's magic wand and then drag my brush over her head and down the right side, as if the sparkle trail was created by her waving the wand.Method 2: Use Lens Flare filter applied to a neutral layer. The left bracket key makes the brush smaller and the right bracket key makes it larger.
